About our Archery Program

Since the club’s addition of the Archery Committee in 2002, we have experienced a great deal of growth each year. As of 2007, the outdoor 3D archery tournaments average a hundred shooters for each match spanning nine tournaments from January to September. As of July of 2008, the club has set records for one day attendance of 212 shooters, and the sky is the limit. Now, the club has an indoor archery league ran during the winter months from December to March that has also taken hold and seen some growth. We are excited to see how that program will grow for years to come. In the winter of 2007/2008, the club saw a team league consisting of 32 shooters, which has been the biggest league so far.

If you have never tried either venue, now is the time. Popularity in the archery world is booming and for good reason. 3D archery is a fun way to get the whole family outdoors in the summer with bow in tote. With your “ammo” being reusable and tournaments only $10 each, it is a cheap way to spend roughly three hours on a Saturday morning. Cubs, kids twelve and under, shoot for free. In the winter time, what could be better than going to shoot in a nicely heated, nicely lighted 20 yard indoor range with some buddies on days when the sun goes down at 5:30?
